you can simply boil them, like bottles. at least the glass variety.
i had one when i had my first child 20 ys ago and i bought another one
when the boy wonder was due, but have used it only two or three times.
got more milk out than with an avent or medela handpump, but i'm not a
great pumper anyway and glad i dont have to.
