Hi all,

Just a quick thought for mum with ftt who previously breastfed other babies happily.  Was she given peppermint oil capsules for 'wind' after delivery.  Anecdotally I have been in contact with 2 mums where peppermint oil may have caused a problem.  One mum took 10 days of peppermint oil just after delivery and had severe supply problems which she eventually turned around. I did not have a lot of contact with her though so unsure of all details.  Last time we spoke she was well on the way to eliminating formula.  

Sheila Humphries book 'The Nursing Mother's herbal' is very informative.
