Yes, there ARE articles that implicate pacifier use in shortened
breastfeeding duration--even in the absence of the use of bottles for
feeding!

out here. Check also Barros if you have access to MEDLARS. Those are first
author names and should easily identify the articles in question. If memory
serves, I believe the Barros article was in April, May or June issue of
PEDIATRICS in 1995!
Get them and wave them under doubters' faces. The evidence is very strong.
