The most evidence-based info I've found re: "normal" number of breastfeeds
in the 1st 24 hours comes from this research report (and - no surprise - 1st
24 hours is related to how breastfeeding is going on days 3 and 7):

Love how they looked at their sample - 1st baby/subsequent and for both
