I am a certified trainer for childcare centers in Idaho (for their required continuing ed) and I love talking about breastfeeding. A couple other thoughts for you... Mothers often look to the childcare provider as the expert, simply because they see so many babies. *But* since they aren't trained in breastfeeding, their answers need to be cautious. It would be great to provide them with a list of people (like you) who can answer questions for the mothers. Also, to recommend a couple books. It is also great to go over bottle nipple shapes, and good/poor latches on the bottle nipple, since this can make or break breastfeeding for some moms. (Moms will ask them which bottle is best sometimes). Also, how to control the flow of the bottle to mimic breastfeeding for the young baby. Enjoy your talk. Maybe you can have part 1 of basic info, and part 2 for more indepth.
