Thank you for the harsh and helpful (2nd response) feedback. Might I add that I did not feel it necessary to go into great detail about the ins and outs of my discussion with this mom. I did inform her that I highly did NOT recommend passing it along to another mother,but I was trying to find a responsible way to "use" this useless pump. Thanks for the link.
I also know that there is supposed to be the understanding and support of healthcare professionals, LCs, IBCLCs, and mothers that "No question is a dumb question." I recall learning that in my first year of Nursing School and in my first education course to become an IBCLC. I will be sure to do more research on my own and encourage others to do the same before asking another "dumb" question here. Thanks for the support.
