I'd begin with ruling out an overabundant supply.  Sounds like too much fore milk may be a problem.  Mother *could* try partially emptying the breast before feeding; feed on one side per feeding; and/or feed on one side for multiple feedings.  I have worked with many mothers who had such an abundance of milk that they needed to feed on one side (for up to 6 feedings!) to return the baby's stooling to yellow.  If nipples are sore, baby might benefit from a referral to an SLP for assessment.  However, if baby's feedings end up in a tummy ache, maybe her nipples are sore because he is trying to slow the flow and eat less.  I'd rule out oversupply first.  Keep us posted!
