Am I missing something? My patient has a fissure at the nipple/areolar junction. There is no evidence of yeast or eczema. No history of surgery or trauma. There is an ample milk supply. The fissure is only on the right breast - not on the left. Mother nurses in different positions and the latch is good.No evidence of blanching. The babys suckle is normal.Mother is not pumping.
I would be grateful for any suggestions.
