Hi Evi,
I think that the story is more likely that this child has been poorly
nourished for a long time. It's the poor breastfeeding rates in Gaza and the
large amount of donations that seems to be constantly solicited for Gaza
that really has me puzzled....too many stories of "mother's milk dried up"
It's not this one instance, such stories are coming across my desk every
day.

Hi Karleen,
I looked at the photos and it also does not make sense to me.
A 14 month old baby would not be getting infant formula.
A lot of other questions about the photographs but this is not the place for
a political discussion. Gaza situation is not good, for sure - though
situations in about sixty other areas of conflict in the world are probably
much much worse.
Another reason for us milk babes, lactitias, etc. to keep up the mantra of
'breastfeed your way to peace, health and mellowness.'
