Some of you may be interested in recommendations in British Columbia,
Canada. This is a very recent document and as it is a PDF I can not
cut and paste a quote out of it. It does not give any recommendations
specific to breastfeeding babies, only that the baby should room in
with his/her mother if mother is ill. If the baby need to be in the
nursery, he/she needs to be isolated.
I spoke to our infection control nurse recently and she stated only in
very rare circumstances would a baby be isolated from his mother.
Active TB being the one circumstance she mentioned.
