I wish sometimes we could just send the client back to the doctor and ask what they are basing their advice from? Doesn't the risk of miscarriage drop after the 13week. From some quick glancing it seems like the rate of miscarriage around 8 weeks is 10-15%. So isn't it possible that the doctor was just using this as an excuse for needing to have a 'reason' on 'why' it happened. Does the mother have any other risk factors? Has it happened before? Did she have problems getting pregnant the first time? (Just a few of the ? I would ask)
