Someone asked about the reasoning about treating pink milk. Well, 
serratia can be a pathogen and cause serious respiratory infections. 
Plus, if the milk is stored, the bacterial count for serratia in the 
expressed milk may initially decline, but then significantly rise after 
a few days if stored in the refrig or for a longer time in the freezer.
I would assume that the mother would not want to risk infection in the 
baby, and I would also assume that she would like to resolve her pink 
milk. Certainly the mother should be informed of the possible 
association of this bacterial infection and the pink milk so that she 
can make an informed decision about further dx and tx.
