Hi
I have found that the woman's doctor is correct, that the treated
breasts tends to only minimally lactate and often not at all. However
the woman will usually lactate normally on the untreated side. This is
from clinical experience.
Our breast physicians at the Breast Cancer Institute at Westmead
strongly recommends they do breastfeed.
The one problem I have seen is watching out for breast changes that
could be cancerous.
