Sorry I am a little late answering this post. You will find useful the WHO
course: Infant and Young Child feeding counseling: an integrated course.
It is all on the nutritional value and the importance of complimentary
feeding, the energy required by age and the amount supplied from breast
milk, food that can help fill the energy gap, food to fill the iron and
vitamin A gaps, and the quantity, variety and frequency of feeding.
Well, before I took this course, I thought I knew all about complimentary
feeding.. but I did not until I took this course!
