In a recent issue of Oprah's magazine there is a poignant article about a
mother who donated milk after the passing of both her twins. A copy of the
article may provide some comfort to other mothers facing such loss.

If memory serves, there was mention in this article either about how this
mother was never permitted to hold her babies or was permitted to hold one or
the other baby very briefly.

I thought of Nils Bergman, Susan Luddington-Hoe and others who cite the
many life-saving effects of holding one's baby via Skin To Skin Contact or
Kangaroo MotherCare.

Mothering magazine also published a beautiful photo essay with accompanying
article on KC for preemies, I think in their March/April 2006 issue - - just
beautiful.
