Hi Aimee,
If thrush treatments aren't helping at all, then it probably isn't thrush. With damaged nipples, I would be looking at baby's latch again, and assessing for tongue tie, and if the latch is good and tongue tie is ruled out, then I would be thinking probable bacterial infection. Other things that can mimic thrush are vasospasms, raynauds, eczema, or allergic reaction.
