This is bloody insane!! Insurance companies won't pay for donor milk or
Prolacta products because they are costly.
But insurance will pay for a life time of diabetes, or short-gut syndrome
(from the NEC that has a good chance of occurring as a result of using the
wrong proteins). Plus all the other sequelae of artificial feeding as a
mother will be less committed to exclusive or long-term breastfeeding when
the NICU, where her baby's life is being "saved", is using cow protein.
Talk about pennywise and pound foolish!!
