Dear Friends:

LACTNET is wonderful. I now realize that the cultural norms in the US are
merely a reflection of 5,000+ years of patriarchy and not unique to the US.
Thanks to those that offered a more ecumenical view of global feeding
practices.

I just read a piece about work being done to get goats to make human milk.
Why oh why must so much money and energy be spent on such silly work, when
it could be spent supporting breastfeeding or doing something more about
world hunger?

The human brain is a blessing and a curse.

warmly,
