This is so funny that this came through right now as I am currently
researching probiotics and breastmilk. However, I am specifically
looking at whether or not maternal supplementation transfers into the
milk (I doubt it does, but can't find anything to confirm that
suspicion). I am looking for similar information regarding digestive
enzymes.
I have always been concerned with the recommendation to supplement
exclusively bf babies with anything...gripe water, even teething
tablets, etc. I am not as knowledgeable about the "pristine gut"
issues as I should be, and as a midwife with a mostly holistic-focused
client base really feel I need to be more knowledgeable. I hope
Jennifer Tow is reading and will comment on this one.
