**That may be true, but it doesn't do much good for procreation results and 
survival of the species.
If you want your young to develop properly, you shouldn't abandon, let alone 
eat them. ;-)
So, consider the consequences of animals behaving like that (running of): 
either death or poor survival.
I suppose that is not what the UN had in mind, when drawing up children's 
rights...
