I would think a simple call to the hospitals' Infection Control Department and Mother/Baby unit would suffice. Hospitals generally take the mishandling of expired goods very seriously as it is a JACHO vioilation. I know that we have been cited for overlooking other items that are on the shelf with expired dates. I would think (and certainly hope) that this is an oversight. I suppose if you wished to make a very strong impression you could report it directly to JACHO although I don't know what procedure might be in place to do so.
