Virginia,
It's interesting that you should decide on "care" vs "management".
When I recently
decided to open a private practice and was trying to decide on a name
for said practice
I decided on Gentle Beginnings Lactation Asistance...using the word
assistance I was
hoping to communicate that it is the mother/baby dyad who is managing
and I am
just providing assistance that they may feel they need.
I am also a stickler for "advice" vs "information". I hope not to
give advice
which has many drawbacks (such as not empowering the woman to make
her own
decisions) but rather providing her with information / options to
make those decisions.
And yes I think I get much of this from my LLL background/skills as
well.
