Hi All,
I am also having real issues with this topic. In my area Medela is THE pump
to rent or purchase. I have been a rental station for the past few years
and it does supplement my income in a manner that would make it difficult to
give up as a single mom with no other income other than breastfeeding
related business.
So - what am I to do? My quandary is that Ameda is a good product and I'd
love to be able to rent those out instead, but there is only one other place
to rent them here and moms only want the Medela which would leave me with
virtually no business for pump rentals. I am so over selling retail that I
am working to close out my retail stuff and on-line store and keep only
those tools/products that I need for my clients. But I have ethical issues
with Medela and the code violations along with other things.
So - thoughts and suggestions? I need the income. As a single mom with no
help from anyone else now, it is imperative I be able to keep a roof over my
kids' head and food in their bellies. And I tell you what: It makes me
angry to have to deal with this kind of nonsense. What happened to
ethics???
Frustrated in rainy Sacramento.
