"[considering that] Medela's declared intention in marketing its
products was to support breastfeeding and breast-milk feeding and, as
needed, to provide other means for ensuring safe and adequate nutrition

I am gobsmacked. This is exactly the same as the "declared intention" of
every formula and bottle company out there. Are there Medela-connected
folk on the Board? Or were they just born yesterday?
