Subject: [LACTNET] infant needs during exam

I believe this fee to be discriminatory as she is being singled out for
different costs based on her needs.

**Ahum... not HER needs, but the BABY'S needs!

The provincial human right's code in the
province where the exam will be conducted are very clear that a mother
cannot be discriminated against because of pregnancy or breastfeeding.

**Should not matter; it is an IBLCE-exam, for heaven's sake... :-((

The $150 cost is not a rumour for those of you who thought this an unlikely
event. It is the current position of the IBLCE.

**Sad... What about the Code of Ethics and the Scope of Practice...? Does
the board grasp the essence if this is the policy...?

Warmly,

Marianne Vanderveen IBCLC, Netherlands
