I was thinking that it might also be confusion due to differing definitions
of "weaning" -- i.e. the cessation of breastfeeding v. the initiation of
complimentary foods.

I remember how much easier it suddenly was to set limits once they had those
molars! I don't know if it was strictly developmental or that they were just
more mellow little people once the pain was gone.
