Hi All!
An incredibly wonderful client of mine is nursing her six month old daughter
but for reasons of age (46) would like to ³harvest² another egg soon. She
will take the following meds:
Follistin 150 iu
Saizen 2.5 mg
Lupron 0.5 mg
Lo-ovral
Androderm 2.5 mg patch
Letrazole 2.5 mg
Menopur 150 iu
I have told her that she will certainly have issues with milk supply and
that, to the best of my knowledge, few of these drugs are approved as safe
while nursing and some are officially contraindicated.
She has lots of frozen milk and could feed her baby for a month while
pumping and discarding. Iım wondering a few things: will the act of
pumping interfere with the ³fertility² impact of these meds? Could she
continue nursing while taking certain of these drugs.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
Best,
Jay

recommend both credentialıs value. And, for a long time, I enjoyed calling
myself ³IBCLC Emeritus² but wonıt ever do that again.)
