Diana West's book Defining Your Own Success & bfar.org would be a great
resource for her. :) http://www.lowmilksupply.org/abs.shtml has a
comparison with all the pro's & con's.

There are a couple of threads that compare the two on Motheringdotcommune.

Kellymom has a page that can be helpful for moms trying to decide on one or
the other. http://www.kellymom.com/bf/supply/adoptivebf.html#comparison

Lactaid can be used under clothing or while nursing lying down but I have
heard of moms being asked to strain the milk b/c of the tubing size.
Medela is a hard reusable container & feeding is done with gravity's help.
The system has 3 sizes of tubing which I believe are color coded.

Hope that helps.
