Concerning the MOM that needs to take Telepaque( the pill that makes the gall
bladder show up for a GB xray).
I would say that she can go ahead and nurse. My reference of Ruth
Lawerence's book BF a guide for the medical profession says this under
Telepaque:
AAP Rating: 3 ( Maternal Medication Usually compatible with
breastfeeding)
Amount in milk after therapeutic dose 0.08% of dose
Comments: Not sufficient to produce problem in infant in single dose,
                    contains iodine radical.
If this was my patient I would let her nurse after taking the pill, Her
bigger problem might be the fasting she needs to do before the test. (She
won't beable to drink when she is thirsty after/during nursing prior to the
exam.

Hope this Helps,

.
