This is a long shot question. I am working with a mom who has nipple
pain as well as shooting pains in her breasts. Now, I know, the first
thought many will have is yeast. But, it is not yeast we already hoped
for that. There was some nipple damage and low milk supply in the
very beginning, but mom has helped baby correct the feeding and has
worked hard to have a full milk supply. However, the constant pain is
becoming overwhelming. She has another condition however that we are
wondering if there is any possibility that what causes it, can also
play a part in the nipple pain. She has Interstitial cystitis and has
pain during sexual intercourse. Thinking oxytocin release during sex
and breastfeeding. When researching, I find that the symptoms of
Interstitial cystitis usually subside during pregancy and lactation,
but no mention of nipply pain or breast pain. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance,
