When my son was about 1 the peds began to worry about his slight build.
When he was 2 years they threatened to do blood workup to see what was
going on. Call it mom's intuition, but I knew nothing was wrong w/Ricky. He
was a picky eater. I attribute that to natures way of keeping kids from eating
foods that they may be allergic to. I was still nursing him at the time, so I
started adding butter to his finger foods (macaroni) Cooking w/more olive oil
and butter, even added cream to some stuff. Anyway, today he is 12 yrs and
on the CHUNKY side. People can't believe he's the same kid. You could have
counted his ribs back then.... Now you cant find them (smile). I wished I
would have not given him the "junk food" and stuck to my guns... I now have
to watch how much he eats...Can you believe it!
Go figure....
Trust your instincts.
