I had a call yesterday that I was unsure about and I'll pass it on to
this huge group of experts. A mother reported to her friend that she
just had three silver fillings removed by her dentist. He and several
other dentists she called told her she needs to quit breastfeeding
because of the exposure from the contaminents from these fillings. Dr.
Hale's book does say that removing the fillings should wait until after
breastfeeding. I thought it was just another excuse to stop mothers
from breastfeeding, but I'm not so sure now. Any thoughts on this.
