Dear Christine,
At the risk of sounding condescending, which I in no way intend, I have a few
questions/comments.
1. Are you familiar with the historical context from which the WHO Code
developed? With the murderous (yes, I am using that word intentionally)
marketing practices that were used at that time, especially in developing
countries?
2. The 'Code' covers MARKETING, not sales or manufacture. This has been
covered over and over for the past few weeks here on LactNet. This is really
important. There is a huge difference between marketing and sales.
3. Have you actually read the WHO Code?
Also, please remember that the WHO Code is a worldwide document. It is
meant to cover the entire globe, not just our little American part of it.
