I did a search of the archives and only find one mention of thyroid nodules,
and it is not in line with what I want to know. My question is, does lactation
and hormonal influences of lactation impact thyroid nodules? A mother has a
history of thyroid nodules and is wondering if weaning would impact them?
Make them disappear, grow, change in anyway. Her child is over one year and
the nodules have changed during pregnancy, but hcp is now encouraging more
testing and weaning. Mother wants to know if weaning would matter.
If you have any information, please reply off list as well with permission to
share the information with the mother leaving off any identifying information.
Thank you,
Pam MazzellaDiBosco, IBCLC, RLC
