I have to voice the same concern. How do we REALLY know what the normal
trig levels are supposed to be in normal, healthy infants that are
exclusively
breastfed that are not fasting?

I was wondering this too. Have triglyceride levels been drawn often
enoug=
h
on *exclusively* breastfed infants to actually have an accurate
reference=
range? Considering the food reactions, there is obviously something
going=
on
with this baby, but perhaps the high triglycerides have nothing to do
wit=
h
it, and are actually distracting from the real issue. Perhaps it is
norma=
l
for exclusively breastfed infants to have high triglyceride levels
(as is=
the case with cholesterol), and the levels only appear high because
they =
are
being judged against a reference range that is not representative of
exclusively breastfed babies.=20
There could of course be a medical problem with this baby, but I'm
really=
curious about where the reference range for the triglycerides comes
from.=
