Besides believing that every mom should know how to hand
express for emergencies, if nothing else. I have found
moms who had started pumping in the hospital for a baby
in the NICU and were discouraged by lack of volumn could
get drops or more with hand expression after pumping and
be more motivated. I encourage all moms who are
pumping, more then occasionally, to hand express after.
