As some of you know, for the past eighteen months I have been writing
a monthly column called *Breastfeeding Matters* for the Twin Tiers
Moms section of the Elmira (NY) Star-Gazette. As far as I know, this
has been the only regular column devoted to breastfeeding in the USA
newspapers.
Unfortunately, the newspaper has had to make staff cuts and to
eliminate their "Twin Tiers Moms" section, and so they will no longer
have enough space for my work. When I spoke to
the managing editor, Lois Wilson, she did say that she would try to
run the article I had written for December as an opinion piece, and I
am glad she was able to do so. I would have been even more pleased if
they had not edited out my (correct) grammar!
The article was originally called "A national scandal. " It is about
contaminants found in infant formula, including melamine:

I will let you know when I find a new *home* for my articles.
warmly, norma
