I believe the OAMER, with the usual lactose overload, precipitated the gut
problems. Then a food, like dairy, that would normally be able to be handled
by the baby in modest amounts, caused the bleeding. With the onset of the
second period of bloody stools, it could perhaps have been another offending
food, like soy, or citrus, or even bovine (beef) product. Some moms who
eliminate dairy also eliminate bovine.
The second bleeding may have occurred becoz the gut was not entirely healed.
Perhaps the moms had relaxed the block feeding system some, and had a
somewhat renewed OAMER situation.
