I have discovered that most persistent cases of thrush are caused by TT. This baby has many indications of a PPTT. Abx, are not a benign treatment--they wreak havoc with the internal flora and recovery of normal flora is next to impossible. I have a friend who had persistent sore nipples, typical thrush pain with her son the entire time she nursed. With her next, we discovered a PPTT--it was clipped and her persistent thrush cleared and the "sandpaper" feeling finally disappeared. We, of course, now know her older baby had a PPTT. Still needs clipping and at almost 6, he is nearly impossible to understand when he talks and has major gut problems.
