While it is clear mom has a massive oversupply, I do work with lots of moms who are massively overproducing and not having this symptom. OTOH, I have experienced this pain personally and it was associated with refilling about an hour or so after feeding. It resolved when I took enough magnesium. Now, I use Natural Calm with any mom experiencing such pain (or with any mom experiencing vasospasm, oversupply, or for any other reason I can get them to take it b/c it creates calmer, better rested moms). 

As an anti-inflammatory, i recommend castor oil compresses. No need for drugs--castor oil works much better, is far more soothing and will prevent mastitis.
