I posted last week about a rapid response I sent to the BMJ on this topic.
It seems the editor liked it, and it is going to be included in the print
version of the journal for 28 June. This is how it goes when you blow off
steam in a rapid response to an online journal - sometimes you get lucky and
it gets printed in something with a proper impact factor. Not only that,
the editor sends you a pleasant and encouraging note to let you know, and
offers you reprints and the opportunity to post the full text on your
employer's website. Could've knocked me down with a feather :-)
