A woman's body (breasts) begins to normalize a few weeks into breastfeeding
if all is going well, about 6 weeks. This is often the place where the body is
making what the baby needs and everything is going fine but then the babe
has a growth spurt and momma thinks she is losing her milk. It is normal to feel
less full between feeds, if all else is going well. Her body has adjusted, is
making lots of milk and not feeling engorged all of the time.
If mothers always felt full and engorged they might not want to continue
breastfeeding, so nature gives a little back. Of course, go a bit past a feeding
and she will probably feel that old engorgment starting again.
