Thanks to all who replied to me, and pointing me into such interesting 
directions. I knew there were a lot of us out there (i.e. those who 
believe breastfeeding is empowering, and definitely consistent with 
feminism).  I have also found great sources in recent articles on the 
International Breastfeeding Journal Web site, and will be getting in 
touch with the authors individually for permissions.
