One last thought on this subject: If IBLCE holds Ethics as so important and critical that it requires IBCLC's to follow them without question, (and if they don't they risk having their certification pulled) then why are they not doing the same thing? What kind of role model are they in this instance?
'Do as I say not as I do' is coming to mind here. It's kind of like telling your kid not to smoke while you blow smoke in their face.
Gobsmacked to be sure.can't get over this one. I'll be asking my mommy group what the IBCLC certification means to them today. I will need to rethink my recertification for next year - does anyone know if you can get our insurance without being IBCLC? What a mess.
