We are seeing at our hospital, many moms thinking they have a baby w/ a
sensitivity or allergy to dairy. But w/ so many other things having similar
symptoms - how do you differentiate between dairy sensitivity, overactive
MER, foremilk/ hindmilk imbalance, etc???
We see everything from "highly fussy babies - to screaming and bloody
stools." It seems more prevalent lately. We have had moms trying
pancreatic enzymes and moms who just "give up."
Anyone have a checklist - etc? We follow feedings and do outpt consults -
but so many of our moms only contact us by phone.
We are starting to track what sx these moms are having and what they are
trying w/ their results.
What are you seeing in your practices???
Thanks!!!
