It may be appropriate for a personal query from a Lactnet member but only if
you feel that you have exhausted all options available to you in other
venues and only if your request has been sent to the list mothers for
approval first. It is not safe to assume that all Lactnetters have explored
all avenues in the search for an answer prior to posting to the list.
Please read Suzie Heaton's post today for a clear explanation as to why
*this forum* is not the place for personal breastfeeding queries. That is
not to say that there are not appropriate on-line forums for mother support.
I, myself, answered LLLI help forms for several years, but Lactnet is a
professional forum.
Much appreciation for everyone's understanding of our guidelines. If anyone
would like a refresher of the guidelines you can get a new copy by sending
the command "get lactnet welcome" to the listserv address.
