Janice,

I too LOVED the center-hook nursing bras that I wore 5-10 years ago, and was
very sad when they went off the market. I never understood it either, as
like you, I found them much easier to hook/unhook and were much more
discreet than the shoulder type bars. Although as someone else mentioned,
once unhooked there was no support for the breasts. As I happen to only be
a very small B cup on a good day (when full of milk...don't ask about now!)
I could get away with it...but I could see how a large breasted woman would
not be able to manage. And since being small breasted and breastfeeding
seems to be the minority, then maybe that’s why they went off the market!?

Jacqui,

I would LOVE to see a high powered fashion model like Tyra Banks with a baby
in her arms, modeling nursing bras! I think it would be a boost in the arm
so to speak. Kind of like that wonderful ad campaign that Morgan Gallagher
posted about on her blog? We need more of that, I think, to rope moms into
feeling beautiful about their bodies and making milk. Although I suppose it
might turn some moms off, who feel they can't 'measure up' to a supermodel
breastfeeding...or do some feel that that would just add to the
'sexualization' of breastfeeding?
