Labeled "Anticipatory Guidance", this question is from page 27 of this section of the Blueprint, page 279 of the overall book:
"Where will your baby be sleeping once you get home? What have you heard about bed sharing or room sharing? What have you heard about the relationship of the use of pacifiers and breastfeeding and SIDS? What type of bassinet or portable crib will you be using?"

The framing of the question makes breastfeeding sound dangerous.
Again, it is mixing risks of SIDS and risks of suffocation as though they were one and the same thing.
They even talk about breastfeeding or bottle feeding in the parents' bed, then puttimg baby down to sleep in a crib. The whole booklet seems to treat breastfeeding as ONLY a method of feeding and nothing more.
No, I have not read the entire thing word for word, but I will. It's the attitude within it that I am not comfortable with.
Still looking for the hazards of sitting up in a chair breastfeeding (or bottle feeding) while exhausted; the dangers of overlying baby's face in the chair if mom slumps forward asleep; the dangers of dropping baby on the floor, etc. So be careful of that dangerous chair!

Phyllis
He who frames the question controls the discussion.
Wondering who contributed to the funding of this publication.
