Hello!
I am only sharing my personal story:
I had a very SGA baby (1380g at 37+3 weeks) so she needed a
low-birthweight-babies nutrition program. I pumped her milk and she would
have been given ´partly special premie formula. But I stated my worry about
risk of cow-milk allergy as my family has a strong allergy history. So it
was agreed that she got hypo-allergenic formula instead(similar as Al****n
P***i in these days) with extra amount of powder wich was calculated for her
needs. My daughter did later develop a cow milk allergy and severe other
food allergies so it did not work for us, but I am sure, it helped to
postpone the symptoms a couple of months.
We have just had a couple of premies at work who developed problems with
stomach and they were transferred to more hydrolyzated formula P***i J****r
instead of regular premie formula and pumped milk with BMF which did help to
stop bloody stools and other problems. Cow milk free diet was recommeded to
the mothers.
Best wishes,
