Dear all:
I'm struggling to define new terms that take into account a wider view of infant feeding that
empowers maternal observation. I'm stuck on the old "triple A" cycle of UNICEF which may
be constricting my thought process. It was something like "assess - analysis - action" in a
circle where you went back to assess.
So far, what I've come up with is:
Observe (baby's feeding cues), respond (to baby's cues), consider (how baby reacted to
your actions), adjust (your response).
Observations of course can be culturally tailored depending on the fears and concerns of
that culture.
